Merfocom

Merfocom is a combination of a plastic noise insulation plate with high mass (Isomat TS8) and a noise absorbent foam with fire-, moisture- and oil- resistant top layer(Merfocell GW).

The noise insulation plate is glued between the two sides of foam so that the mass layer can move freely in relation to the under surface. Here exists a so-called "double partition" which insulates better certain noises than a single partition.

The plate is built as follows : 25 mm Merfocell GW grey + 4 mm Isomat TS 8 + 5 mm Merfocell + self-adhesive layer. The total thickness is 35 mm.

Applications

Merfocom is recommended in the cases that a combination of noise insulation (addition of mass) and noise absorption (the less back-bouncing of the noise against ‘hard’ partitions) is desired. An example is the covering of a housing of a generator or the machine room partitions and ceiling in a yacht.

CE-certification

Merfocom is CE-certified and so is ideally suitable for application in engine rooms of yachts which must bear CE marking.
