Acoustic testcells
The testing of cars and motorcycles is accompanied by significant noise nuisance. Merford has therefore developed special acoustic test cells that reduce noise nuisance to an acceptable level and regulate ventilation. These test cells can also be equipped with an exhaust system. Rather than forming a permanent structure, the test cells comprise a modular system made up of robust, self-supporting panels that can be easily dismantled and built up again at another location.
Acoustic ventilation
The test cells are always provided with ventilation to allow the heat generated within the cell during testing to escape. This ventilation flow is determined in consultation with Merford, taking into account the capacity of the test object. The ventilation equipment is provided with heavy acoustic silencers with the same insulation values as the test cells panels. These splitter silencers are made to a high standard and can be cleaned.
